Sometimes You Just Need a Reset

Lately, life has felt full in all the ways life can be full. The good, the hard, the ordinary routines that somehow become so... routine.

So when the opportunity came to spend an evening with our sweet friend and incredibly talented photographer, Grace Littlepage of Grace Mary Images, we said yes.

And goodness, did we need it.

We started at golden hour with delicious coffees from River Road Coffee House in Granville, Ohio, soaking up that dreamy evening light and pretending for just a little while that we weren't checking the time or thinking about tomorrow's to-do list.

Get the German Chocolate Latte and thank us later!

Then it was off to Wild Sage Studios in Alexandria for the most ridiculous, joy-filled photo session imaginable. Think awkward 80s family portraits—fanny packs, matching sweatsuits, retro sunglasses, oversized smiles, and enough lemons to make us feel right at home.

We laughed until our cheeks hurt.

Sometimes a reset doesn't require a vacation or a major life change. Sometimes it looks like saying yes to a fun idea, spending time with people who make you laugh, and stepping outside your normal routine for a couple of hours.

We came home with updated photos, memories we'll laugh about for years, and hearts that felt a little lighter.

Here's your reminder that if life has felt especially heavy lately, maybe your reset doesn't have to be complicated. Find your people. Do something wonderfully silly. Let someone else capture this season exactly as it is.

You'll probably be glad you did.

Thank you, Grace, for giving us the gift of an evening we'll never forget!
